Dr Ian Mortimer is an English historian. As noted on his website, he started his writing career by writing poems. Many were published in literary magazines between 1988 and 1994 but in that year he shifted his interest to writing history. This volume is a collection of the poems written since that time and, in some respects, is a companion piece to his prose. A few of them link with the Clarenceux trilogy of novels, which he wrote under his middle names, James Forrester. Samples of three poems included in the book are available here.

The book is presented as a high-quality paperback, printed on acid-free paper and stitched in signatures, in a limited edition of three hundred copies. On this website you can buy copies for £10.00 with free inland (UK) postage and packing. Postage to Europe is £3.95; USA & Canada £5.00; Australia & New Zealand £5.30.
